-BROADWAY ON BROADWAY – TOXIC AVENGER THE MUSICAL-

Congratulations, you are about to experience Broadway like you have never experienced before! A new Blight Production, featuring Jerrod “BROADWAY” Bogard in an all new webseries, called “BROADWAY ON BROADWAY”, where Mr. Bogard discusses theater in ways your ears are not used to. In this episode he yammers on about the new Broadway smash hit, “TOXIC AVENGER THE MUSICAL”, with a special appearance from Weird Al’s stoned little brother! (By the way, we had no idea who that fuzzy haired kid was, he just decided to jump in front of the camera for no reason)

Thanks,

:::OTHER CLOWN NEWS:::

My good friend and clown mentor Jef Johnson is doing something very special with his amazing Clown Lab this month and you all should check it out:

The class will be limited and already there has been alot of interest.  Slava Polunin has called Chris Lynam “one of the world’s funniest clowns”.  This is a special opportunity.

Jef Johnson’s CLOWN LAB  presents
MODERN CLOWN WORKSHOP

with Chris Lynam

“What happens when you wake up and find that you will never wake up again, that everything you make up is down, and everything you make down is up?

That piece of toast you had for breakfast is really a piece of beach in the Caribbean, your wife is a fruitcake and your children are raspberries.

In amongst all this confusion it becomes apparent that something very important is missing from the backbone of man’s existence…”

CHRIS LYNAM is renowned for many things, but mainly for bringing his brand of crazed humor to bear on unsuspecting audiences.  Known as The Beast of British Comedy, his work is both dangerous and exciting, stretching variety to its limits.  The New York Times called him “a brilliantly bizarre antidote to today’s truculent society.”

Brick Throwin’ Bastards In Blight’s NEW Comic Strip And Pretty Soon I Am Gonna Blow Up A Moose!

September 28, 2008

Howdy, three times, in a pumpkin patch,

I wrote a little poem for you:

“Ode to a pickle tree”

Bing bong boing,
Someone flip a coin,
I broke a slippery bone,
Last night on the phone,
Imply what you will,
Please delay the kill,
Then read the latest strip,
So I can take you on a trip.

Here it is, the bomb diggity, the shiznat, the craziest clown there ever was…

:::NEWS:::

Just to give my loyal friends and fans the heads up, my good friend Barry Mitchell (Scroogie the Clown from “A CLOWN CAROL”, everyone from “Intelligent Design-The Music Video” and formerly “The Polka Guy” from ABC World News Now) and I have collaborated again on a new video featuring everyone’s (least) favorite “politician”, Sarah Palin.  I am working on the post-production and animation as fast as I can so I can bring it to you as soon as possible.  I would like to get it to you in time for the vice presidential debate on Thursday, but I am not 100% sure that is realistic, but I will try.  That being said, you may receive a mid-week blog update from Blight Productions if it happens.

:::FUN FOUND VIDEO:::

I found a really amazing piece of video on Youtube I thought I would share featuring a badass juggling routine.  Check it out:

The blog is short and simple this week, as I am still trying to edit down some stuff for you all and the day job combined with riding my bike like a crazy fool in 95% weather, has limited the time I have to be productive. I have made good progress on the “Clown Party 2” painting, I am just too tired to take a picture of it right now to post for you all, maybe next week.

In the meantime, here are some cool videos I found on Youtube that I did not make:

From the folks that brought you “Happy Tree Friends”, here is a taste of -DR. TRAN-

So, do you suck at Photoshop? Watch this amazing “tutorial” and maybe Donnie can help you learn a little something in, “YOU SUCK AT PHOTOSHOP”

Here is an amazing little bit of clowning, a nice little excerpt from Slava’s Snowshow:

So, you made it to the end of this weeks blog. Thank you. If you have been enjoying the weekly exploits of Bligh the Clown, as well as, my other crazy artistic projects, don’t be selfish! Comic #12a, SL haunted house, another influential video, and it’s hot as hell tonight!!

June 9, 2008

Well good golly, it’s so damn hot outside my gigantic clown balls are sticking to the side of my leg!

Oh my, what kind of language is that? Who wants to read that kind of shit? I know the only reason you people check out this site is to see the next exciting episode of everyone’s favorite clown. You are in luck, I just finished this week’s extra special comic. This is the first panel in another strip inspired by my real life. My good friend, “Little Jane Rose” is introduced to the world of Blight this week in the first part of a four part continuing miniseries. These are extra large panel drawings so they are being released as a miniseries. Enjoy the adventure:

(Click here to visit the comic archives)

Although Little Jane Rose seems to be a crazy psychopathic abuser of clowns, she is actually an extremely talented special effects makeup artist and filmmaker in real life. For more about this talented clown abusing psychopath check out her website: http://www.jane-rose.com/

In other news:

Haunted Hotel in Second Life

I have been building a crazy haunted house in the video game virtual world “Second Life”. It is 5 floors featuring textures made from a photo of an actual haunted house I took on a visit to New Orleans a few years ago, a spiral tunnel, crazy ghosts, a demonic labyrinth, a torture room, a mad scientist laboratory, and many many more creepy surprises! I will be posting updates here on the progress of the house and the sim. When it is finished I will post a url so you can experience the insanity!

This week’s influential video clip:

This video was featured on youtube’s front page a few weeks ago. It reminds me of some of the work I was doing back in college, but to a much, much larger degree. When I was working on making animations with a pencil, eraser and a sketchbook, this guy is using the walls of buildings, paint and an entire city as his canvas. When I saw this video it completely blew my mind. While watching this just remember that every image is a complete painting photographed with a still camera. The scale of this is just incredible.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned next week: subscribe to the blog, the mailing list, the facebook page, myspace or anything else that will send you reminders about your favorite clown-arific blog! All the required links are here: http://www.blightproductions.com

::::NEWS::::

I think I will start a collection of my favorite clown performances on this here blog. These will help people understand my perception of clown. I will begin to share things that inspire me. I will do my best to label the videos properly so there is no confusion between my work and the work of other that inspires me.

Here is the first posting of videos that inspire me:

Housch-ma-Housch

This is an amazing performance by Housch-ma-Housch, it is a tad bit out of sync in some of the audio, but thats hot his fault, I blame Youtube.

And I will leave you all off with a pretty flower picture I took last weekend!

Ain’t it Just Dandelion!
