(Nominated for a 2007 EMMY)

A Clown Carol – The Marley Murder Mystery

Barry Mitchell, Lloyd Kaufman, Bill Plympton, Scott McCloud, Gregory Barsamian, Patrick Smith, Smadar Levi, Martina Secondo Russo, Todd Robbins, Eric Davis, Jerrod Bogard

So I am a pretty active member of this Social Network site called DeviantART, it boasts to be the largest online community for artists on the internet. They have a forum for suggestions on the site. I thought that it might be a good idea to create an EVENTS feature to help artists promote their art openings, film screenings, performances, and other things like that.  With the idea to keep it well organized by City, Date, and Time.  Pretty strait forward idea, but some of the responses I got were rather wacked out.  Check out the posting thread here, it’s still going on, so be sure to read all the pages and let me know what you think:

I am fully stocked with some kick ass postcards, so if you want to help promote my Clown Carol movie or my comic strip please let me know and I can send you a stack of postcards to pass out in your neck of the woods. Just use the contact form on my website, and I will get back to you ASAP!

Come one,

Step right up,
Don’t be shy,
Mosey on over and don’t ask why,

Are out of sight,
For coming up next is a Clown named Blight!

You people asked for it now here it is, the comic where Blight finally saves the day!

So i know some of you folks were thinking, “just what kind of act does this clown do on a stage?”, well other than rocking out with the psycho circus industrial rock band “THINGS OUTSIDE THE SKIN“. He spends his time doing this….

…You figure it out.

I did not make this video, although I wish I had, it is brilliant. One of the best bits of animation on youtube. It made me happy, and I wanted to share the love. So here it is:

-Dr. Tran – The Furious Little Cinnamon Bun (Censored Version)-

So, we ventured out into the wild blue Catskills over the weekend, to test out some of the super cool camping gear we got. Only to realize that all the campsites we could find were more akin to trailer parks than the campgrounds we remembered as kids. I thought the idea of camping was to find a remote spot in nature, hang out, relax, and clear your head from all your personal “Mind Clutter”. Well, apparently most other folks idea of camping, is pulling into a parking lot, opening the car door, dumping out your “camping crap” and sleeping in what amounts to a mall parking lot covered in dirt. Here is a photo of me realizing the situation as several kids were running and screaming all night long in the “Campsite” playing hide and seek while screaming at each other, only to cause drama by pissing off the biker gang that decided to bed down in a near by tent lot.

Next time we go camping the idea will be to find a place as far away from screaming kids and biker gangs as possible.

Also, this will be the last blog post before I head out to Germany. So, if anyone in Germany has an art gallery and wants to meet to discuss showing some art, shoot me an email.

Your Pal,
Blight the Clown
